Foilio

Turn your photos into holographic collectible cards.

Pick a photo. Foilio cuts out the subject, sets it over animated foil, and rolls one of seven rarities. Everything happens on your iPhone.

What it does

Mint. Pull. Collect.

1

Subject cut-out

When you mint a card, an on-device pass separates the subject from its background and places it in front of the foil. Tilt the phone and the two layers move apart.

2

Seeded foil

The foil is drawn live by Metal shaders and seeded per card. Two cards of the same rarity never share the same look.

3

Packs

Pull the tear strip, drop the wrapper, and swipe the cards off the stack one at a time. A mystery pack draws random photos from your library instead of asking you to choose.

4

Slabs

Seal your best cards in graded slabs. The showcase starts with three slots and expands to five. Any card can be exported as a looping video.

Rarity

Seven tiers.

Common55%
Uncommon25%
Rare12%
Epic6%
Legendary1.7%
Crimson0.25%
Zenith0.05%

These are the base rates for a single mint. The first card you ever make is Rare or better. A photo that scores well shifts up to 40% of Common’s weight onto Rare and above.

A visible pity counter guarantees Epic or better after 40 mints without one — 20 with Foilio Pro. The support page lists the full tables, and the odds screen in the app is the binding version.

Discovery

The Foilodex.

Feast190

Humans17

Every card is identified on the device as it is minted, and a recognized subject unlocks its entry — 971 in total, across ten sets. Locked entries show a masked name.

The free version includes 135 entries. Foilio Pro unlocks all 971.

Upgrades

The fusion bench.

An upgrade can push a card up one tier — and it can destroy it. The bench consumes fodder cards and a credit fee, then rolls at the published rate for the tier being reached. On a failure the card is destroyed and part of its value comes back as salvage. The odds are shown before you commit, and a slabbed card cannot be used.

The economy

Free to play.

Foilio is free to download and everything in it can be reached without paying. Film refills daily, and credits are earned by minting, discovering and completing sets. Progression runs through eight rank bands, from Paper to Mythic, with a daily streak and rotating quests.

The optional purchases are Foilio Pro, a subscription sold weekly or yearly, a one-time lifetime unlock with the same benefits, and consumable packs of credits, film and shards. Pro raises the daily film allowance to 150, adds a daily stipend of 250 credits, shortens the pity counter to 20 mints, and opens the full Foilodex. The Terms cover the details.

Privacy

Nothing leaves your phone.

No account, no ads, no trackers. Your photos, the cards made from them, their locations and your progress are stored on the device and never uploaded — there is no Foilio server. Recognition runs in Apple’s Vision framework, on the phone.

The one exception: when you buy something, a record of that purchase goes to RevenueCat with an anonymous installation identifier. The privacy policy lists everything.
